'took yourself,' I think that needs to be clearified. I think he meant physically, not through your computer, I could take a screenshot of an image search, sleeping:

Just ask yourself the question "If i sold this photo to another company, would i be sued for copyright infringement?"

Buckweed couldn't follow rules. Interesting.
Offtopic: And to clarify my stance in the other thread. I'm ALLOWED to tell people which one I thought was better, so I techically was on topic. And Static can suck a big fat cock.
I really like Guarnere's so far. Is animation in stock photoshop?

Ok ,
Great entries so far guys , here is mine :
This took about 6 - 8 hours to put togather.
We begin with 2 layers of noise , scaled and edited to improve contrast and brightness. All layers in this project are in screen mode.

Next we absolutly destroy each layer seperatly. We rape the shit out of it.

That created diversity , but I went ahead and refined it a bit , to eliminate the obvious eraser strokes.

Next I combine my layers and change the color to a very pleasing blue.
I did this by coping my layer and bluring the hell out of the copy.

Now that I have a decent star feild , I am ready to add some life to it.
I create a new layer and use a big fluffy brush at about 20% oposity to add space dust.

Satisfied with that I add 3 lens flares , each on there own layer to create some brilliant stars.

I decided to move the red star off to the side so I could get a better area for my gallaxy. Building the gallaxy is just anouther lens flare with 4 or 5 layers of dust and clouds added. Just like making the dust before.

I felt that it needed something else , so I added a planet off to the upper-right. The planet was made , by simply making a circl , coloring it black , and adding a pattern overlay. You can also see I added a outer glow and an inner glow , these are to represent the atmosphere of the planet.

I did a little more refining , added a shadow to my planet and added text for a finished product.
