You need both, but the man with lots of common sense will go much farther.[/quote:bd51b]

i think that too-if you can see the real wold and how it is than you will understand stuff. like people who think that being the best at something pays off, always realize they are wrong-that everything is political-and if you dont believe that then you will one day
There's no such thing as smart there's just not being ignorant, as for types of music etc I think that's a sterotype & it's mostly down to taste.

Booksmart will get you further in life, few people will employ you because you know 'the bruddas in da hood' & booksmart will get you better respect because people can judge you by your own decisions & intellect rather than if you're wearing nike trainers or a bandanna round your head. IMHO I can't understand why people do not strive to become gentlemen rather than street rapping, ghetto plebians. mwah:[/quote:6f557]

See thats what im saying. You dont know anything, just because your street smart doesnt mean your a hoodlum. The only reason people rap is because they are sharing knowledge and stuff. Think about this, the hardest people dont talk about anything, because they know so much and what to look for in people-they dont talk because they sont feel anyone is on their level--that is right-there is no way to argue against that

I question the usefulness of knowledge communicated by rapping.

'Yo, me & my niggaz we were in da h00d and sum guy busta cap in our azz yo, daz some bad shiz man'.

A child could tell you that.

& correct me if I'm wrong, but, is not most rapping orientated around a particular 'nigga' of questionable background acquiring a firearm & causing some serious collateral damage? Most of the lyrics also suggest some sexual actions, which would not be consistent with the highest degree of Christian purity. eek:
