Maj Stoner, no offense taken, but I didn't say anything about only one person being allowed to play the game, only that the game can only be installed on one machine at a time. Anybody can play it once it's installed, but it's only allowed to be installed on one machine.

There are actually several types of liscenses, and some of them only liscense to individual people. i.e. Most web enabled software (Computer Associates Unicenter Service Desk as an example, as well as some of the software that we sell), explicitly names who is allowed to use the software. It's called a named liscensing agreement. You buy one copy of the software which you can install on as many different machines as you want, and then you purchase "named seats". Each individual person using the software most have their own liscense to use the software.

Games use a different type of liscensing agreement (I can't remember the name), which states that the game is liscensed for installation and usage on only 1 computer at a time.

For a better read on software liscensing in general, check out http://www.auditnet.org/articles/softwarelicenses.htm
