MOHAA is King, but DOD rules in gameplay. Simply, when they release the god-dam map editor, MOHAA fans can have the best of both worlds!!! Great graphics! Great gameplay!

I prefer gameplay over graphics any day

zxcvnm: Half-Life is inexpensive these days and available not just in a cheap, basic version, but also in a variety of bundles pulling together expansion packs, Internet add-ons and other goodies. It is widely hailed as among the best, if not the best, shooter of all time and is worth the cash by any measure. It's a must-have.

raven6: If you think that graphics are the be-all and end-all of gaming, I can only imagine that you are a rather shallow gamer without a broad range of game experiences under your belt. I almost pity you for that.

Additionally, if you think Medal of Honor offers a more realistic style of gaming ... well ... sheesh. There really isn't much to be said about that. It's simply a silly statement to make that would not be uttered by anybody who has played both.

You may be able to find it in some stores a bit cheaper, but you can get the Game of the Year edition (with the *great* Team Fortress Class online add-on) for $30 at www.ebgames.com.

Half-Life: Counterstrike is also available as a standalone game for $30. That also includes TFC.

The Platinum Edition is rather expensive at $55, but it contains *everything* for Half-Life outside the Blue Shift expansion. The whole Opposing Force expansion, Counterstrike, Team Fortress, a bunch of other mods, plus the full original game.

If your connection is good, the Game of the Year edition is good for $30 (or you can find the original in some stores for $20-25), as both Counterstrike and Team Fortress are available as free downloads. If you've got the bandwidth, you can save some bucks by just downloading them ... and, of course, Day of Defeat. Also free.

DoD = Cool mod for HL. We are past that stage now, though. We are in the stage at which technoligy has advanced since HL, and newer, sharper, more realistic graphics have emerged. Prepare. . .for the era. . .of MOH:AA.

Dunno, man. I had 6 shots of Liquid Heroine, leave me alone!!

ok, if you don't have halflife i think you can get if for like $10 now so i would get it. second the multiplayer of DoD is better than MoH regardless of graphics,

whoever was the dumb fuck that had to point out that DoD doesn't have a single player, bravo, i think you must have just passed kindergarden now huh?

I can't beleive some of you can be so shallow as to look ONLY at the graphics of a game and then compare it to another that does not have as nice textures.

EA has lotsa money and the staff to create a ripper game

DoD does not have piles of money but it does have dedicated staff who have imo create a very nice mod.

DoD will eventually feature SP but I think that would be a long way off.
