Well, call it what you will, "camping, sniping" or whatever, but I really hate people that complain about it. I mean, in WWII, did a German soldier shout, "Hey, American, stop that! I hate campers!!! Just get out here!" No! Absolutely not! I mean, in other games, camping might not be acceptable, but this isn't "other games."

I think that sniping is a necessity in this game, and to complain about it is like complaining about having your right arm. In Counter-Strike, sure go ahead and complain about it, but here, it gains nothing. Sadly, this post probably won't do much, but you, the people reading this, should do your best to spread this message to others you see in some servers complaining about "The guy in the belltower." I just think we need to clean up Medal of Honor one person at a time.

Dont compare the game to WWII. Though i agree that in the war they had to camp while snipin' etc. But this is a game. I don't care if people camp cause i'll kill 'em anywayz. HEHE...but i agree with u.

actually WRONG. There IS camping in the game.

For instance, in The Hunt the American objective is destroying the 88 Gun, and a secondary objective might be considered destroying the enemy soldiers in the area.

Someone who climbs up into the very first building and sits there until they are they only one left on their team, and STILL sits there until the enemy soldiers finally find them and blow them up with a grenade is a Camper! Get over it.

It slows the game down. It is completely unproductive in terms of supporting and helping their team, except for an occasional kill, usually too late to do any good.

Of COURSE there is a difference between camping and being careful or defending the objective by staying back and waiting for the enemy to come to you. And of course many people moan and gripe about "campers" because the griper happened to die early and is bored wating for the end game to play out.

But you definately have games where there is one or two guys left on each side and they all just sit there until time runs out.

MOHAA is NOT World War II, it is a game with objectives and one in which we all play for fun. Campers are boring.

As for sniping, you rarely had 7 scopes in a one acre forward combat area like you do in this game. Sniping was part of the war in Europe. But it was not part of EVERY fire fight!

Anyway, "sniping" actually meant ANYONE firing from a distance on an exposed position. Only a small population were actual scoped marksman.

I don't mind snipers so much, except on Omaha where it destroys the original intent of the map. But it does get old when you have half the players in a game with scopes - scopes that are totally unrealistic and basically are just a super computer zoom that gives someone a ridiculous advantage over other players.

Man Parchy are you the guy on Omaha that sits inside the troop transports or in the water sniping the Axis? I mean if you are then can I take a second to tell you how worthless this is to accomplishing the objective...I mean it is an OBJECTIVE map, and does require people to move not unlike The Hunt map. So, you are completely wrong on this and if you are only talking about other maps than the Objective maps and you are not a German on The Brisge, or an Allied on The Hunt or Omaha or V2 you are ...ahem....cough....CAMPING WORHTLESS RETARD THAT DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THE GAME HE JUST JOINED!

Go to a FFA server and camp your life away...as it does not matter...but on Obj maps you have a job and sitting in the water never seeing the front door to the way to the guns means....you are WORTHLESS!

What? Since when did I become "the evil allied sniper that snipes on omaha???" Just because my views coincide with the fact that sniping is okay doesn't mean I'm an awful person. Spine, you just need to chill out, because one day that attitude will get your balls cut off.

Spine, what is it that you hate so much about snipers or campers or whatever you are ranting about. Is it that they don't actively go place the charge? Can they not "camp" and snipe the machine gunners so others can run their happy asses to the top of the hill?
That is cool that you have the option to boot the people that dont just run straight at you guns blazing. That way you dont have to get pissed when two snipers are busting your teams asses over and over again. That really pisses you off doesnt it. Again I have played hours and hours and I have yet to play as allies on Omaha so the camping, sniping crap doesnt apply to me.
I will never understand how some people get off saying fighting a war is supposed to be this way or that. I wish someone would state the obvious. Better yet I will

If you spend your time respawning and looking for the snipers you cant defend very well. If I was the allies and there was one other person with me I would want one of us to snipe and one to charge. What is the problem with that? And don't give me that not true to WWII bullshit. Just ask the thousands of men who died for the allies if they wished they had a sniper picking off the gunners for them.

Your missing the point Gandolf. This isn't WWII, it's a FPS with a world warII theme.
Yesterday for example, I was on this server and there was one German player who sat beneith the stairs in the chruch.
The map is Objective_Bridge in witch the Germans have to destroy the bridge by planting explosives.

Eventually my whole team was dead (including me) and there were only 3 allies left. STILL, this guy sat and camped underneath the church until time ran out, we lost for failing to destroy the bridge.

How is camping underneath the church tacticle in any way? How does it help our team destroy the bridge?

And as for sniping. Unless you are pinning down the opposing team from a good vantage point, you are camping. Sitting in a back alley waiting for some poor soul to wander threw so you can get an easy kill does nothing to help the team. And it makes you seem like a complete n00bish retard in the proccess.
