Which weapon do you prefer; Thompson or Mp40, and why?

The Thompson rocks the world of any close foe. It would be better with a magazine with 60 rounds!!!

Strik0r has it right. The thompson has more stopping power .45 vs 9mm.

When I play multi it seemds like tommy cuts people down faster

The Thompson is one of my personal favs on Omaha. But when I am Axis w/ Realism mod on, I use the MP44, cuz the STG88 is to heavey.

My father was a sargent in WWII, He said that most of the troops thought that the Thompson was a joke. Sure, it was an automatic but, it didn't have any range(most fire fights weren't at that close of range) and it's accuracy was minimall. He, and most of the troop in his platoon used rifles(dependable, had range, and were accurate) they had a couple of snipers and were lucky enough to have 1 guy with a BAR. I know this is a little bit of topic, but what the hey.
