Can't, there is a reg. hack to change your version, so the patch will work. But be warned if you are trying to play MP with others in your part of the world and they do not have the patch, you won't have anyone to play with.
If I find the link to the reg hack, I'll post it here or if anyone else knows the link/hack, please post.
