So then why should you be a mod if you don't care anything about the users who post in this forum?[/quote:7d356]
Naw. I just dont give a fuck about a group of kids scratching each others balls over what each other says. And that IS the minority. Sorry but they post the same shit over and over and over again - so no, I dont give a shit about them.
The sad thing is Shorts pointless bullshit and Statics mindless flames would be interesting if they werent so cliche and mind-numbing.

It's so fucking simple:
If you instate any admin that there is controversy over (even mods - to a degree), there will be shit flying everywhere.
So how do you avoid it? Don't instate them. Simple.
....and yeah, I understand that there is always going to be opposition to anyone who is appointed as an admin/mod, but picking someone as controversial as Joe is just fucking stupid. He shouldn't even be considered seeing as this place was a hellhole when he was "in power."
No offense to Joe, but it's the truth. He has too many enemies.
Same goes for alot of the other candidates.

Yeah, I like TGB, and he's a smart fuck - but there is too much opposition to have him in power without stupid kids whining like it ain't no thang but a chicken wing.
So you can get with this, or you can get with that, I think I'll get with this cause this is kinda phat.

You say there'd be too much opposition to gay blade....but he looked
like winning a fair "election", how do you reconcile these two points..?

Well, I did see alot of support for him, yes - but on the other hand I saw just as much against him.
Whereas someone like Zen or Guarnere had no opposition whatsoever.
....and this "election," differs from those in the "real world," because this is on an internet forum.
In real life, nobody spams or hacks government buildings when their choice for president/prime minister isn't elected. Yet it happens here, so therefore, we must take steps to avoid that backlash - Which is the real reason we are even bothering with picking new admin. Before it was just mods, and to a degree, I think TGB could still take a mod position without backlash, because he couldn't cause much disturbance to those who didn't want him - Which puts those who didn't want him's fears to sleep.

Jesus Christ XOXOX

I agree with Tripper. No matter how good of a job a certain person may do with moderating capabilities, anybody who has previously spammed, flamed, or tormented others on this board automatically should be removed from consideration, unless said acts were conducted a long time ago (think 2+ years). I think that would eliminate even myself, and I'm fairly mild compared to many others here. I still say Colonel/Arkan for mod *Cheap plug* biggrin:
