I don't think anyone was complaining about the inclusion of sniper rifles in the game, to me this looks like how you have perceived the issue.

I think what people are worried about is that enormous amounts of allied/axis snipers on a map like Omaha completely takes the fun out of the map and destroys the gameplay.

You seem to be ranting about SMGs, I don't see your point. If a guy can't hit a thing with his SMG/MG what are you bitching about?
