Have the 1.10 patch. Typed version in the console!

Reinstalled the patched and rebooted the computer. Still get the server timed outs!

Don't know whats the problem is? It worked before the patch came out.

So do anyone know whick port I need to forward, like 27015 for HL?

Having problems joining a multiplayer game. Get connection timed out all the time! Think it has to do with my firewall. So I need to know which port I have to forward to get it working! ?

I think the port #'s are:

12203
12204
12205
12206

Take a look at that white booklet that came with the game. There's lots more info there.

i have a firewall and i think it worked even before i forwarded the ports - just need to forward the ports for hosting games.

I get server timed outs on some servers - but after trying a few i always find one that works.

I think that timing out may be caused by more than one player entering a game at the same time, or the game filling up before you can connect.

If you have the 1.1 patch, you shouldn't recieve any "timed out" msgs. Try looking through the user manual for any configs on firewalls, but there shouldn't be anything to config.

It's a patch problem (IMHO).

I was trying to play last night and i also was getting the "connection timed out" msg. Got it a bunch of times untill I realized that I had not patched yet.

So I ran the patch and now everything is right with the world again.

So make sure you are running 1.10. If you are not sure what you are running, open the console and type version. This will tell you what it is.

Hope that Helps
