I was working last night only to find the whole area have a powercut 15 minutes before closing. What made it worse is that the shop is supposed to have a backup power supply that will give us 10-15 minutes to close the shop - this failed to work - plus the fact that there are no torches (so its pretty dark in office, as there are no windows - we had to use our mobile phones for light - to see what we were doing.
Anyway - i ended up with the job of manually closing the shutters, having to twist a small knob thing (about 5 twists of it brings the shutter down about a centimetre) so i took 10 mins to bring down the shutter half the way - only to find the knob seemed to be moving towards a guard covering the shutters. so we had to practically destroy this guard with a pair of plyers to regain access to the knob. Anyway - we got about a foot from us completely closing the shutter when the power came on. I was sooo pissed off when it came back on, knowing i could have waited 20 mins to close the shutter. oOo:
it was funny, i think my house didnt have power, but i was down the shore at my beach house that did have power, so i was right on the borderline of it.
I was watching Trow when that happened. Movie stopped, emergency lights came on...but for some reason when the turned the movie back on it was further on from where the movie got stopped. We missed a good part too (I think)...the part where Achilles kills the huge guy at the beginning. All I saw was that guy stumble to the ground.
