it 'll maybe sound stupid, but i d'like to know if its necessary to be an experimented "quake like" player to go online with mohaa... i mainly play online on Eaw or PE, so i really enjoy the sp in mohaa (ww2 context) and as i never played this kind of game online, i 'm a little scary about that... i know its stupid...
an advice ?????

I think some Quake players will find it a little slow. Who wants to be a Sniper right?

But most of the games I have played have been a real mix between move around and shoot straight skill and tactics.

Tactics plays a big part in this game. Team objective is where this really stands up. You get shot in the head. Your dead. Wait for the next game

I love it. Some Quake fans won't.

Tactical, eh? Sounds good to me - I've been cracking the single player game and am just about ready to step up to MP.

Most of the MP servers you go into are going to be Rocket fags and Shotgun whores. Then these same people switch to the sniper rifle when they get into a open map. Until the weapon availability editor is out it sucks.

mp is nothing like sp. trust me on that one. aside from learning the weapons and getting used to the engine, mp is a lot different.

I think the main skill need is to be able to adapt to the other players styles(whether it be rockets, shotguns, snipers, grenade spammers, machineguns, sub-machingunns,rifle,pistols,pistol-whippers,or unarmed idiots). The main thing is to figure out a tatic for whatever the situation may be. But most importantly just enjoy the game. Nobodys perfect.

Was the low spark of high-heeled boys" -Steve Winwood/Traffic

probably it will be difficult at first, my friend is used to SP and only had to point and shoot at enemies to defeat them, in multi you need to learn new strategies like strafing and shooting, bursts, finding good spots, sneaking and more.

Also try different servers, make sure you find one with a low ping, and try both servers with a lot of people - and with only a few people to see what suits you.

Hmm, i gues in free for all games all you need is a steady aim, a good movement technique, ammo awareness and good reflexes...
In objective or team games, add all that to a good team effort. Don't get heroic and go to kill the enemies by yourself; try to assist your mates. For example, if you choose a submachine gun, try to go along with a sniper to protect him in close combat, if the map is somewhere similar to Stalingrad. And so on, and so forth...

I think Low Spark is right, it is just finding ways to elimate each player style with each weapon. During a DM game i am constantly changing weapons and i can kill people or atleast give them a hard time with every gun. You just have to find ways in each map to make your weapon a benefit in certain areas.

Well, just my 2 cents
