Default Launch MFC Application error - 06-21-2004, 06:50 AM

Game was working fine yesterday, since then I've added an new hard drive which has resulted in the MoHAA folder / directory being changed from F to I. Other than that no changes have been made - game was fully patched no mods installed. Yet I get "lauch MFC application error" - I can hear the intro sounds but the screen flashes black & white. I have re-installed MoHAA, defragged the drive but no luck? rolleyes:

P43.2
1 gig DDR
Geforce FX5900XT (dr.5672)

Any ideas would be appreciated.

well obviously the problem lies with your new hard drive. go into windows and uninstall moh and get rid of everything mohaa related in your registry. and delete the folder it was installed too. this is just a guess, but since you installed the hdd mohaa doesnt work, and it may have caused some other things not to work as well. so double check your video card drivers, try and play other games and see if they work too, and just see if anything else got changed. once you've done that install mohaa again to a completely different location on your pc. good luck rock:

Got it working eventually.

COD didn't work either - strange that the game loaded okay with sounds but the screen was completely black? So, I "disabled" the new HD, re-started the PC and the MoHAA folder regained it's original target path i.e. F:\Mohaa instaed of I:\Mohaa.

Went back to Control Panel "re-activated the new HD, and re-booted. Bios then allocated drive letter "J" to the new HD, leaving Mohaa folder as F.

It seems the certain Windows system files were looking to execute against Mohaa located in the F drive, when in fact it had been moved to I - changing this back solved the problem.

Thanks beer:
