Well my reply was not really for or about HIM.

HAD he read my reply he would have seen that I never called him a racist or implied he was one. I simply stated that his defense of racists and his positon that they should be allowed to believe anything they want and racist server managers should be able to run their servers like they do was in fact weak in its argument and stupid on the over-all.

It was not really aimed at him per se as much as THEM. His opinion of "live and let live" regarding racists and their rhetoric is clearly misguided and based on ignorance, as it implies that it stops at "belief" and causes no real harm in the world.

This is too bad. In either case, racist or misguided idiot tolerating xenophobia, it has caused most of the avoidable suffering in the world. Kids using such crap for fun or to sound cool or tough just plants the seeds that it is ok

That being said one must be careful of who they stand against based on something being offensive. But I am all for Admins taking the lead and asking people to change nicknames that are blatantly offensive - that goes for the stupid gross sex names and all that stuff, and kicking them when they do not comply. When it comes to names that clearly profess a biggoted slant I would just kick them outright.

Admins can do as they wish, obviously. But I would like to know which ones are run by racists, etc. so I can avoid them and warn others about them.

By the way, I encounter more overtly bigoted non-whites as I do whites on a typical daily basis, even if they assume they are just reacting to white bigotry. So it has nothing with them or me being white or black or Jewish or Martian. To me the "they did it first" does not justify the reverse bigotry. It is ALL stupid, and should be worked against; not just ignored or tolerated as relatively harmless. It ain't.
