I have avoided even reading this thread, mainly because I knew I'd get pissed off.

I read it, and I'm pissed off.

In seven pages, I have yet to see Short Hand make a valid point. Even in the face of cold, hard facts, he is so blindly devoted to Michael Moore that he repeats that fat fuck's regurgitated bullshit. I suppose that sort of dedication in commendable. I'm not getting in on all the points, but I do want to say two things:

1) Tax cuts - the top 1% pay over half the taxes, the top 1% pay over half the taxes, the top 1% pay over half the taxes, the top 1% pay over half the taxes.. also if you don't fucking pay income tax you shouldn't get a goddamn refund check. WTF kind of sense does that make? "Oh, but I'm paying $100/mo to Social Security and wtf ever else, meanwhile I'm receiving $400/mo in food stamps and another $400/mo in welfare checks. WHERE IS MY TAX CUT?!" Jesus.

2)
and the 1000 + US soldiers being killed daily[/quote:87121]

Where in the whole of God's green Earth did you come up with that number?

There hasn't even been over 1,000 casualties throughout the entire Coalition since the beginning of the war you fuck-knuckle. And that's from a Liberal source. Douche.

And just to comment on the civilians - there have been 11,000-13,000 civilian casualties in Iraq (iraqbodycount.com - Liberal source). Iraqi insurgents are responsible for a large portion of those:

[quote="OccupationWatch.org - Liberal Source"}

Two car bombs killed up to 40 Iraqis and wounded at least 22 others Saturday, June 26, south of Baghdad.

Two days earlier, at least 93 Iraqis were killed and over 200 others injured in a series of coordinated attacks and clashes in several Iraqi cities.
That's 133 civilians killed and 222 wounded in a matter of three days. Now, consider insurgents are launching attacks like this about once a week (that's being generous) and do the math on how many civilian deaths you come up with since May 2003. Estimated 100 deaths per week since June of 2003, that is approximately 5200 deaths (100 week x 4 weeks in a month x 13 months). Not to mention the civilians that were mowed down by the Iraqi Republic guard when they celebrated in the streets, as well as Baath Party members who murdered supporters of the US in the days leading up to and during the invasion. So realistically, nearly half (probably more) of civilian deaths are caused by insurgents. If you want to see civilian deaths and the causes, go check out iraqbodycount.com and get schooled by your Liberal friends.
