College Experience -
07-29-2004, 11:51 AM
Well some of the people from these forums, including me, are off to college for the first time. Those of you that have attended or are attending college, share some of your experiences with us. They can be informative stories or just funny, disgusting, or down right orgasmic tales from your college years.

I don't know what your study habits are, but get ready to read 6-7 chapters a week with a test to follow. These aren't going to be your high school 30 page chapters either. These chapters can be quite lengthy. (100 pages or more). It all depends on the professor and his choice of text books.

I am fairly smart and can bullshit my way through anything. I rarely studied, partied a few times a week, hung out .... I ended up with a 3.0 gpa after my first year. Not bad for not doing shit i should say. If you can easily retain info and find pursuading people easy, then college isn't too bad. Yes there is a lot of work involved, but don't forget to have fun.
As for stories ... there are too many.
-Having sex in the bottom bunk of a kids bed while my friend was in the top bunk.
-A beer some how fell right out of my pocket in front of the RA.
-Drinking 2 40oz in an hour and ended up waking up with a black eye.
-Throwing a whole tray of food on a cafeteria working. He yelp like a wounded dog.
-My friend pissed on his laptop in the middle of the night, thinking it was the bathroom.
...there are many more but i'm too lazy to type em.

freshman year was fucken wild. but later on you need to concentrate. i wouldnt worry about freshman year, most of the time we spent smoking hookah, throwin shit in th hallway, lighting off fireworks in the building, large rubberbanding doors shut, playing loud music during quite hours, bullshitting thru classes, not reading, partying till 4 am, then waking up one hour later to wait in line for tailgate place and drinking beer at 7am hake:

Oh jeeze...I could be here all day.
- First three nights in residence, my roommate and I drank a combined 148 beers.
- We turned a guy's bed into an aquarium, complete with goldfish, blue pebbles, and a plastic diver
- During my frosh year, we had to go to the dining hall in our bathrobes, wearing nothing but undies underneath. We were ordered to run a lap around the dining hall screaming "I'M A FUCKING MAGGOT!!" then strip off the robes, hop on one of the girls' residence's tables, and pose down like Hulk Hogan.
- We did a KISS lip sync for the Winter Carnival contest and won it. I was Gene Simmons. I woke up the next morning in the 2nd floor lobby, still in full makeup.

We had the "golden sow" award. I f anyone got drunk and hooked up with a fat chick, they had to keep a two foot tall golden pig in their room. One time a guy hooked up with a really large girl so we put a pot bellied pig in his bed. He had the top bunk in his room and the pig weighed 500 pounds. He had to go crash at other people's houses because he couldn't get the pig down by himself. His name was Steve and we put a sign on his door that read "steve hoggy hog and the hog pound" (about the same time period as snoop dog was getting big). He wouldn't come to the cafateria for a week. biggrin:

First semester:
- realized I wasn't forced to attend lectures
- spent time at school in the gym/dojo or cafeteria
- partied and enjoyed my freedom
Of course, I failed 3/6 classes (either because I didn't study at all for any of
the exams or didn't care).
Now I know better. I'm on the Dean's Honours list even though I don't study
much, if at all. If you listen in lectures and do some work, you should be fine.
