Start off making sure you are telling the PC to conect to the correct address. I'm not famillair with CS, but it sorta sounds like it is trying to conect to something other than the 2nd PC.

Also XP pro is a pain in the ass... I have had issues with it since I got it.

Mick's suggestion could solve the problem too, it seems firewalls and games never agree with each other.

If all else fails, PM JohnJ.
I'm certain John could figure it out in just a few minutes.

Well all firewalls are off, see this is the thing one computer connects fine to the other, but the other gets this message.

Yeah,

First do this:

Make sure you have run the set-up wizard for a new network on BOTH PCs, and made the nessecary association with both PCs.

Make sure you have the connections in the correct ports, ect.

Then try this...

Go to the NERV PC and see if you can access the Akira from it.

If you can, then the issue is with the NERV..
If not, then the problem is the connection or the network set-up.

If it is the NERV PC...

GoTo: CP >Network Conections >View Status ( You may have to look around the whole connections area to figure out if it is recieving...or able to recieve information. If there is no evidence of a connection, you may just have the thing rigged up wrong. )

If there is a connection then it would seem the problem would be with the NERV PCs secruity settings or it's network set-up.

And that is about all the help I think I could be, not a pro on the whole networking thing just yet, lol.
