I know how you feel...trying to help out a company make a game more popular..and make them money...and you feel like you gotta pull teeth to get any info.

the thing is its already made great sales, so they don't really have to give a crap about the game anymore. its made good $.
FPS optimizations would be nice, netcode optimizations would be nice. and the SDK WOULD BE REALLY NICE. but it just doesn't benefit EA if we make the game better or want it to be patched up so more people can enjoy it. cause to them everythings good right now, they got sales.

a game should ALWAYS have a public beta test, i dont think developers see how beneficial it is!!

you know, I hardly ever have probs with lag. I almost always have a ping between 50-100.

and yes rockets suck, snipers on omaha suck, and grenade whores suck.

as for the no teamplay, well, what do you expect? you name one other mp game where you can get on a pub server and find everyone playing as a solid, tight team and ill give you a million dollars. its that dm mentality that still permeates online games. and the fact that everyone is sitting at their computer in another place and has no idea what anyone else is thinking or doing. theres not much you can do about it except join a clan and use roger wilco or something.

this game still has far better gameplay than wolf. the tension of being the last man alive being hunted by 3 or 4 enemies just cant be beat.

OK I must agree that I personally hate rocket lamers who can't even score kills with them, but a skilled Bazooka person is OK.
Then the snipers in Omaha beach, well it is kind of stupid being respawned to the guns and then bein killed busy shootin. Stupid. But if u wouldn't have them in it, same persons would be in the guns over and over again. That would be totally unfair. But anyway I leave that for others to decide, its only my opinion. I go see other topics, the girlie topics perhaps..

yes it it suffering.

the maps suffer from imbalance issues (objective maps that is). the performance is horrible. the dedicated server support is sub par.

above all else. the communication between the developers and the fans is horrible.

I will be playing jedi knight 2 and SoF2 real soon instead of this beatifully sub par game.

the sad part is this game is so close to being great.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I can understand from both a marketing and a development standpoint the need to be focused - the game has to know what it is and be great at it. And I think they achieved it - this is a great, probably the best, single player FPS out there.

I just wish we could get the tools to make it a great multiplayer game. The game itself is beautiful.....

Everything that has been said, I agree with...After playing the game for a while is sp, and loving every second of it, I tried the mp...At first I thought it was awesome, then I realized I was dying a lot from grenades. I also discovered that that there were times when I would respawn next to an enemy. I bytes royally....Is there an mp fix forthcoming, or do we just have to wait?

MP is gonna get better, but i dont think its gonna die... Ive been here since day one, and ive watched the mplayer server-count rise form 200, to almost 600 consistant now.

Teamwork does go on I know I do it .. I have a few friends and we arrange to meet on a particular server and we join picking the team that needs the numbers and we play..we do use RW and although new to the game we are learning nad learning fast just how to dominate games .. just two of us can... without any underhand tricks (spectator mode viewing after a death) get some great satifaction from playing the game in a coordinated and structured way using stealth and tactical awareness as well as "oh fek time to go for it all guns blazing" ..we have fun we rarely camp and we never use rockets .. nades are a weapon that has its uses and its places as to all the weapons available..
So if you see me in a server and you want to try some teamwork just give me a yell ..
I have also noticed that more and more total strangers are working as fire teams in the Snowy Park working a 180 degree arc while a buddy does the other 180 deg is fun also as soon as u engage he can bring his weapon to bare... and visa versa ... so do not moan about lack of teamwork look for it hell ask for it .. it.. like the truth is out there !!! lol but have fun guys its a great game with lots of scope to become better

Coming from a simming community (FS:SDOE) where ten on a Friday night is a good turnout, MOH is in very good health from that perspective.

Cheats, kiddies, and rambo-one-man-army-wannabes make for gaming that just isn't fun. My favourite map is Omaha (and it seems that most servers agree), but again an example of shoddy programming, you can jump over the sandbags, slide down the hill and lose 5 health points, 10 if you aren't on the ball doing it. IMHO they should have programmed it so if you do jump the cliff, you're dead. If for no other reason than to improve gameplay. Even playing for the Germans I want to smack my team mates when they pull a stunt like that.

I pretty much agree with everything everyone said above.

Example of stupid programming:

The in-game browser makes me wait for 628 servers to refresh, apparently sorting the entire list on the ever-changing ping with each new insertion.

Finally I click on a server with 17/18 players. "Server Full." Start all over again.

So I click on another server. "Different Version." Start all over again...

Why can't I observe and wait on a queue for a position to open? And why refresh all 628 servers when I only ever look at maybe 40 of them? And why re-sort the list 628 times?

I am not going to join a server with a ping of 800, so don't even bother to show it to me. And I can't join many of the servers, because they are running a different version, so don't even bother to show them to me!!!

It would be better just to see a small list of my favorite servers to choose from.

How does All Seeing Eye do it? How do other games (like Aliens versus Predator 2) do it? Are they privy to some magic programming algorithms that EA and 2015 are barred from?

I hope they fix this stuff, or this game will have a short life, smaller sales, and less players to play with than it could have had.

I can understand cranking it out to get it released, that's business as usual. But just fix it up now. That will ensure its continued popularity for years.
