I own both "Cube" and "Cube 2: Hypercube".

THe first one is great. The second one isn't as great, but meh.

There is a third Cube film coming put very soon called Cube Zero. It is supposed to take place before the previous two films. Perhaps we will get some insight to just what the Cube is and its purpose.
