What do you believe happens when you die, and how is your funeral going to be?

Try to be as serious as possible, and try even harder to be open-minded. I'll post my outlook on death later.

Don't hold back: live as though you had no other chance at a conscious
experience. Regret is the worst feeling one can have awareness of - the
sum of your energy should be invested in this life and not held back for
something like a chance to live again. Now is your moment: determine
how to best experience your existence and consciously enjoy Being in all
its glory; from one awareness to the last...

I think when you die, if you led a good life and did the best you could with what you were given, you will met god and live in heaven. This doesnt mean you cant sin at all. Just be the best person you can be. No one is perfect. Do the best you can and you will meet god in the end. If you intentionally do evil you will not be with god and you will suffer. This doesnt mean hell but your soul will suffer in some way.

after you die, your general imagination of what heaven is like takes form. Its like a never ending dream but its either happy (if you're a good person) or sad/evil (if you've lived your life with much sin and gluttony etc.). There might not be horned devils and angels with wings but your behavior in life will effect what happens to you in death.

I dont know. Ill see when i see, wont I? I believe in God. But im not sure if theres a heaven or a hell or if its just a metaphor for if you live a good life, you get rewarded. and vice versa.

As for my funeral, i want to be in one of the old school coffins they used back in the western days

Personally I see no purpose in living to prepare for death.

I agree with Solidus, enjoy the short time you have and make the most of your time here. Regardless of whether heavens gates or eternal darkness wait for you, the only thing you will leave here is your legacy.

Live a just and honorable life and take every day as if it would be the last.

i think when you finally draw your last breath and close your eyelids, you open them right after almost as if you blinked. but you are comming out of the womb and being reborn as a baby seeing the world for the first time, in that second long blink, you forget 99.9% of what you knew in your past life. i say the 99.9% because in the rare instances, when kids reach their second year of life, they sometimes (very rare) they talk and act like they're someone else, i forget the term, but its like relivivng past life experiences. the other idea i have besides reincarnation is death is only the beguinning of something else, the next step in a way, to what? i dunno, but that's what i think. i don't think theirs any pearly gates or anything nor is their any 'limbo' to wait in. but for some reason, i do think bad people do go somewhere. not quite like hell, but somewhere..
