if u like panzers, did you played on Panzer Elite ??? its really realistic and nice sim !!!
btw, the Tiger suffered to much engines problems... as many heavy germans tanks, its low speed was THE problem faces to the raise of the "modern" warfare in 1943/44 with the "jabos" ands their rockets....

in this context, my choice go to the Jagpanther...

im sorry, but the t34/85 was not a real match for the tiger. the tiger had something to take care of its lack of speed..... fear. the sound and sight of a tiger was enough to make allied soldiers and tankers shiver. especially the tiger 1e late was a formidable machine. slow or not, since germany was already on the defensive, there was not a real need for speedy tanks.

all in all, the tiger was a hell of a tank... and even without an engine or gun more dangerous than a metal coffin like the sherman.

I know that. A one shot of Tigers 88mm cannon could destroy a T-34 in 2000 meters range.

There is a legend of Captain Erich Hartmann (not the guy who scored most airkills) who destroyed a whole company of British Cromwell tanks with his Tiger I. The tanks couldnt even do any damage to the Tiger in very close range.

Think u mean Micheal Wittmann. He took out a column of Cromwell, Sherman tanks and support vehicles in France.

His tank was later knocked out by probably the best British and Canadian tank fight of WW2 when they drove behind enemy lines east of Caan. The only time in the war that Allied tanks scored more victories in a head to head iirc. They were in Shermans and the British had a *few* Sherman Firelys. The British modified version with the 17pdr gun.

The Germans actively sought out the Fireflys and they feared them as much as the allies feared just about all of their tanks.
