Ok if thats the case then, the original halflife, for the time it had very good graphics, its also still considered to this day the best first person shooter to ever appear on the pc. If good graphics = shitty gameplay why wasn;t that the case with halflife? Could say the same for farcry, it was rated highy, has really good graphics and most reviewers loved it.
there are always exceptions. Half Life actually cared about a story. Im surprized you like it because you typically don't like games having a story...You know thought put into the gaming experience besides pretty visuals and redudant shooting...
I never said i dont like games having a story, what ive always said is most fps games dont need to have a story to be fun, wheres an rpg without a story will not work, an fps with or without a story can work eitherway.

I have halflife but never really played it much, just bought it for the mods.
