wow... heres an idea, lets care sooooooooo much about a plane that we will probably see fly over our heads a couple times for a total of maybe 7 seconds throughout the entire game. I mean come on guys, its a game designed to be FUN, are you really going to let these nit-picky details ruin that for you? i hope not because then you would just be wasting your money. And hey guess what?? I found another unrealistic thing in the game: the soldiers arent REALLY alive!!! they are a bunch of poly-cartoon characters! LOL
No but keep up the good work Waf. I honestly do enjoy reading your posts. While it bashes down my loving PC game, I still learn a whole lot more about the second world war.

A friend of mine coined a phrase a long while ago, that has stuck with me.
Just remember, "It was wild back then, it could've happened"

Since I'm on a Roll here... Lets talk about the Strafing Aircraft. Yes, P-51D Mustangs where used on Strafing missions. But They where normally and Mainly used in Escorting Missions. The Main Fighterbombers where the British Temptest, The P-47 and The P-38. The P-51 seems to be very popular, But It wasnt the most common Historically. No matter how cool it looks. And Lets not Feature any British Stuff in this Game, Because they werent there. Right?

From what weve seen so far all there has been is the P47 and Fw109. But I'm sure there would have been Spitfires and Hurricanes over Europe, Just remember the British declared War on Germany, so why wouldnt they have been there ??

We had an entire topic on planes a while ago, and there is quite a wide selection of planes in the game. They are also very well modeled from the visual aspect, not the way they fly because we havn't seen many of them flying yet so we can't tell.

There are Ju87's in the game too, but they didn't really have a role in Normandy or France in 1944-1945. There probably will be V2's in the game also.

Well, This starts in Africa Right? So there were Stukas Down in Tunisia and also Stationed in Sicily and Italy. I noticed that the Stukas have a More Bloched Camoflage pattern... Mostly they would have just a Afika Korps Mustard..
I Also see there are some Narly machine gun Ports on the "Fw109" in the screen shots on the 4th Page.. Oh yeah, canons everywhere but where they're supposed to be. "Dude"

BlueDevil: These aren't really stupid nit-picky details. To people who really enjoy history it really matters. you cant go around changing histor just because you're lazy. Those are details that will make the difference between a rare really good WWII game and just another piece of cartoony shit. Some of those mistakes arent small either, after people play this over and over and didn't know better to begin with they'll think thats the way it really was. For the people who do know better, it will just slowely drive them crazy the more they play it. So it comes down to it does make a difference between a P47 or a me109 etc. and a looney toon airplane. If you you or anyone else doesn't care about details and just want to smash things good, forget about this game and get on the creators of quake's ass to make ANOTHER! one.

Dude yo foo, dat plane in da 4th page is a Bf109, so we are clearly talking about a different pic yo. Maybe they were using da Tigers and da green Stukas as place holders, punk, like they did with da M1 and they gave it to a German soldier in some of da earlier shots yo.

Woah, look out, numerical police. Yes I meant Fw190, so sorry to have tarnished history in anyway, I was also thinking of the Bf109 aswell. Just remember mate, this is a game, not a history lesson, their going for as much authenticity AS possible. And adding all the other historically accurate details you have will not add anymore to the game then what we've already seen and it will take longer to complete the game and I dont think anyone wants that for the sake of a few historically accurate facts. And by the way its sorta hard to pick up sarcasm in text.

Yes, I see that is a Messerschmitt Bf 109 (Looks like a G Model). But The Cannon fire coming from the wing close to the is wrong. There has never been a Cannon mounted in the Wing that close to the fuselage... Except, on the Fw 190E, Hence, "FW109." The Mega-plane, devopled by the germans in 1944, just for this game. "Dude"
