Hey Mr. Dick on the wheels, please explain to me how trying to enjoy my game to its fullest and not worrying about the smallest details makes me lazy? I understand that you and many others care soooooo much if you see a plane in the sky in the distance and it has the wrong decall or paint job, and thats totally cool. But why dont I have the same right to enjoy my game just the way it is. I see in absolutely no way that this makes me more lazy than you. Sure, i may be less observant than the rest but I dont have to sit around and let those things bother me while gaming. What I would be pissed at, is if they messed up SEVERLY. For example, having battles take place in the wrong countries. Just remember Dickonwheels, whats minor to me may be major to you, and vice versa. But dont get me wrong, I understand your point of view. Just dont go calling me lazy because I "dont know any better about those historic flaws." I know a lot more about this conflict than you think. I just refuse to let that get to me.

Are you blind? He said it's...interesting. I don't know what that means, BUT it's interesting.

The D version / series was probably the best version of the FW. It was even capable of keeping up with the P-51s in terms of effectiveness in the skies (mainly due to the better engines that the D series recieved). We have Stuka's as well as the Fw190D's, so we'll be using both throughout the European campaigns that we have .

The one thing that really tars me about there being a Fw. 190D-9 in this game is the fact that the ONLY reason for the 'D' Varients (there were 13 of them not including the R2 and U2 varients of the individual models) was a a HIGH ALTITUDE BOMBER INTERCEPTOR. (This is why shortly after the D variants were introduced they lengthened the fuselage and the wing tips to create the Ta. 152H, the Ta standing for Kurt Tank the designer of the 190 series) Sure, every once in a while an interceptor pilot would take a target of opportunity on the way back to bed, but the most common german fighter bomber on the western front from 1943 till the end was the Fw. 190A-8. the 'Early' model with the BMW 801 'snub nose', and the F-9 "panzerblitz" (the same thing but with racks on the wings for 4 100Kg bombs). Remember this is a combat simulation, not some Flight sim where we are buzzing around at 22000 ft, so we shouldn't be seeing interceptors. They probibly just threw it in because it looks cool...
BTW, Waffenampt will attest to my Luftwaffe knoledge...
hmm, while i agree that being on the "mark" for models etc is a good thing, cause i also hate seeing models that dont quite look right etc etc.
but, you boys have to understand, while you may have a head full of knowledge and know every little fuel gauge and cup-holder.... that this is just a game, made for fun, so of course you will find some things wrong, not exactly right
but you cant spend all your time bitching and complaining about the little insignificant things.
take in the whole picture, and if everything fits fine.
dont mean to sound like an idiot either, just trying to make u guys relax a bit on the extra fine detail stuff.
im sure that the 2015 team has this more than covered and im sure they will astound us all.
AND, btw maybe they did pick this particular plane because it looked cool, and maybe becuase more people would recognize it... well then thats just good marketing on there part
