I have only 3 or 4 questions/feedbacks/toughts about the new movieclip. Why is the playing guy not crouching when he gets out of the landing craft? and why does he shoot at the towers with his M1? what could he possible hit? by this time he should have been dead, also the other guys next to him talks to each other like they were on a tea break.

Another thing i noticed was how fast he changed clips. He didn't fire 8 rounds between each change, did he? (only 4) ... Other thing i heard was the sound, i didn't liked the way the M1 sounded, not realistic as i see it (and *klinng* sound when clips expires should be more apparent), but maybe im wrong, im only posting my own thoughts. Anyway if you wanna hear how i think a M1 should sound like, check out Day of defeat mod v1.3 for halflife.

Overall, i think the movieclip was great, except from my thoughts above, and im looking forward to see this game on my PC soon!

Your right, he did only fire his weapon 4 times before reloading, why ? I have no idea, the reload animation is done like that for playability reasons, too longer reload will leave you unprotected for that amount of time it takes to reload, speeding it up as the did allows you to be back into the game as quickly as possible. The reload animation in DoD is WAY too long for my liking, but it is realistic, so thats something I'll have to put up with, just like you'll have to put up with the difference in this game. And Apparently the weapon sound are from actual weapons, they were recorded by EALA (whos doing the sound for the game) I think the firing of the weapon when he gets out of the higgins boat was maybe just for effect, seeing what it looked like when he shoots. Anyone else ??

And isn't it true that if you insert a clip into the M1 Garand and it doesn't have 8 rounds in it, you won't be able to use it ? Eight rounds or nothing ? If this is true, why would he reload, as he wouldn't be able to use the clip again........My 2 cents...And what the hell is up with the water ? The NPC's have no affect on the water at all, no splashing, breaking the water nothing...they just ssslllliiidddeee through it, and also, the voice acting is less than "good" IMO...

I asked 2015 about the garand relaod and emagoo responeded with this

"As for reloading half-way through, we originally had it so you couldn't eject the clip before it was empty, but that was really pissing everybody off here . So we enabled the reload for that weapon (you're assessment was correct, done for gameplay reasons ."

As for the reload being quick i said this on the dod forums so ill say it here

"Say for example you were on seg 3 in dod and had 2 rounds left in the garand and 5 germans were running down the hill. U have 3 options fire your shots and attempt to reload, fire your shots then try to kill em with the pistol (very unlikely) or run away somewhere and reload and come back to fight.

In medal of honour at least you can reload quickly and fight. Anyone that has a garand could probably say how long it would take to reload and i would say it can be done by a lot of people in 2 seconds or maybe less.

A lot of people on this forum say sometimes realism has to be sacraficed for fun and personally i like the way the garand reload is implemented in moh. Its fast and efficient, you dont have to wait for the bandolier to pop out and only takes about 2 seconds to reload compared to 5 or 6 seconds in dod."

The voice acting in my opinion is not too bad, it's better than most I can tell you now. I too was expecting some water effects from the guys moving through it, but this was the gameplay movie from E3 was it not ?? So maybe 2015 have done more in the way of little special effects since the E3 demo. ??

Yeah the voice effects as yet are a bit corny. but since they have bullet splashes and bubbles and stuff in the water they will probably have rippples when you move through the water as well.
