dont forget Henry Tutor. He was the King of englang Aka king henry. Anyways he married a spanish princess and low and behold he fell out of love with her or w/e and he couldnt kill her cause hten france and spain would kill england he couldnt divorce her because the church forbid it so guess what he did. He cut away from the church. Created his own reliegin called the church of england I think over heres its the angelian church or something, divorced his wife remarried, had a child wife was unfaithful so he killed her. Had some more wives and kids but the one that matters is the one who became queen elizabeth I. yes some of us bloody americans know history. I know thats not 100% historically accurate but it is a basic sumericzation of what happened. Also shows corruption in the church.
there also the little thing about how during the years of the plague you could pay a priest or someone to get your loved ones out of purgatory, or even buy your own way into heaven before you died. if thats not corruption I dont know what is.
