I remembered the fps 1 string, but i also remember one that increased or tweaked your card/opengl for higher fps rate. i actually had done it once. Had to install game over again today so i lost that. :(

You can not tweak your FPS, All you can do is uncap the fps command so it shows more then 99 FPS.

I would recommend NVrefresh. This will unlock the bug in windows. Windows will set your refresh rate back down to 60Hz even when your desktop and video card are set to say 100Hz

You can find this program at

Good luck

if you put anything more than 250, it will (very, VERY slightly) decrease the FPS of your game. Try to not put over that, as most of today's PC's won't reach over 250 as it is. I get 180 max with a P4 2ghrz, 512MB RDRAM, and a GF4 Ti4600.

Actually, I've had an interesting thing occur with me regarding FPS. And, frankly I'm a bit stumped.

I just did a comp upgrade. Went from 256 megs of SDRAM to 768. And, upgraded from a GeForce2MX to a ATI Radeon 8500 w/128 megs of ram. Sadly, it seems that mohaa's performance hasn't increased all that much (Though IL-2 runs like silk). In fact, on the sp omaha beach mission, my FPS is routinely ~7fps. The sad thing is, my GeForce2 card would run that mission consistently around 12-14fps. I'm really confused as I haven't changed any of mohaa's settings since changing cards. (i.e. i haven't upped the rez or anything like that... still 1024x768x32).

I just downloaded the most current video drivers (current as of about 6 minutes ago) and still no improvement. Anyone have any suggestions.

if u got a 400 mhz i dont matter how many upgrades u do until u get a new processor or a new motherboard that can handle new processors like a p4. or if ur gona get a new processor or motherboard i suggest buying a new pc. keep ur video card and ram and add them to ur new on if u are gona buy a new one.

Default FPS..........WATE OF TIME! - 08-10-2002, 10:54 AM

Guys,I have a bit of a background in Home Theatre design/installation.Did you know that the human eye is incapable of deciphering any differnce in video projection over 44 FPS?You know those old black and white movies on Turner Classic movie channel that your parents probably love........well..........they are a whopping 24 FPS!!!!!

Guys, quit wasting your money on hardware that is light years ahead of the current software!

FPS in a nutshell is like horsepower, what is the point to have a car with 800hp if traffic is backed up for 2 miles?

A good video card in a slower computer is better than a crappy card in a fast box.

My dad has a 1.8 ghz with a TnT2 32 meg...... I have an athlon 750 with a GeForce 4 Ti4200 128 megs (we both have a ton of ram) ....My comp is less than half his speed and I walk all over him for FPS/Detail/Resolution.
