What to get

I will be getting a bonus check from work within the next couple of weeks

I want a new radio for my car, which requires a 50 dollar harness because it's a new car and the chimes go thru the radio

I can get a Clarion thru crutchfield.com and all the hoopla that i need to install it for - like 180

OR

My geforce 4 Ti-4200 just broke, the fan stopped spinning

for 227

The check will be about 140 - so i'll have to save up either way

what should i get?

p.s. i could get the radio, then just buy an aftermarket fan for my video card as well.....

Get a Blaupunkt receiver. They are incredible quality for the price (German, obviously). I have a friend who is an audiophile and swears by the stuff.

You can get a receiver that plays MP3 CDs for ~$115

so true, my uncle is a huge audio guy and he got a blaupunkt and it is awesome

Yeah. I heard a rumor that Blaupunkt might get into home systems. If that day comes.. oh yes.

But as far as car audio goes.. they are incredible. You get the same/better performance out of the system as you would something triple the price.

Not only that, they have this series of products called Overdrive (I think) which basically has half the mounting depth of normal speakers/subs. The guy I was talking about earlier managed to install two 10" subs underneath his seats. They don't even require a box.
