Trick shots-no 56k -

Anyone play pool here? Here is a vid of some trick shots. It takes a while to download, but I'm sure most of you have broadband so it shouldn't take too long.

I play and I'd be embarassed to put that video out, those shots are all set-up shots... no skill involved. If you want to see real trick shots that take skill watch ESPNs championships. Those guys do a few all set-up shots, but most are all about speed and english, something those kids showed no control over. Not to rian on the parade, I'm just not impressed freak:

Yeah I know those shots are set up. That is the point of them..they are TRICK shots. There are pro trick shot players who write books on how to set the shots up and they make money in competitions on ESPN. Mike Massey comes to mind.. That's fine that you're not impressed, you must be pretty good. Maybe you should go pro...

No, those are set-up shots. Any person who can hit a ball can spend 2 minutes figuring out where this ball will go and this ball and this ball when I hit it squarely, then set-up accordingly so they all go in. No skill to it untill you start shots that need precise timing, power, and spin. Mike Massey does mostly skill shots, shots requiring what I said above. You think those kids could go on ESPN and win? NO. The second they need to match a real shot they are f-ed. And I'm happy plinkin at the local hall for beer money thanks beer:

Nevermind..I'm not going to argue with you about this. I just thought it was an interesting vid. I can play a little bit and can't do any of that, but apparenty you can..using only one hand. Now I can watch the Yoshikazau Kimura tape and realize he isn't a trick shot master because he uses props. oOo:

haha biggrin:
I'm not trying to argue, I just wanted to expose the guys in the video for not having real talent. Sure some of the stuff looks hard, thats why alot of people would think its amazing. I'm just saying its not hard at all, I'm sure you, and everyone here could pull off everyone of those tricks if given a few minutes on each one.
I did like the music in the video though happy:

Many of those tricks were very simple and just banking the ball off each of the walls. But some of those shots are really hard. For Example: The shot in which he hit the cue off the table into the boot is Mike Massey's signature shot. Also they had a shot where they hit the ball into the side of the table with spin bounced in off the side over a bunch of balls into the 9 ball. That is not something just anybody can do.

ok I'm not gonna lie, I stopped the video after the sorry-ass "snake-shot" where they lined up a bunch of balls and made the one at the end go in the pocket ed: rolleyes: I assumed the rest of it was like that too, my bad freak:

Kinda got put on hold for college. I'm at University of Wisconsin-Madison and couldnt afford to bring the car along so its chillin in the garage. I cant wait to come back to work on it some more. I'll probably leave the same equipment, CDT comps, eclipse amp, elemental designs 10kx sub, audiocontrol EQ, but re-do my fiberglass door-pods. Should be fun
sorry to hijack, I'll be done here.

I piss off everyone when I play pool against them, because I am good and am always doing crazy shots, mostly by accident... sort of.
... and the video sucks because it's playing rap!
