Default Flood - 04-04-2005, 03:11 PM

These past two days we had huge downpours. It was just as bad back in Sept when we had another flood. Sad thing is alot of the people just got done making renovations on their homes from the last flooding. Now they have to do it all over again cry:

A few of those pictures involve an old woman being rescued from her house on "433 bushkill drive". That's down my street..yikes. Thank God that we live on a bit higher elevation.

we had a flood outside of philly back in the early 70s after hurricane agnus hit. i remember downtown there at the steel mill the water line was half way up the main doors (12'+). they even erected one of those stupid "water line was here" plagues on one of the corners of a building.

now you take the city of San Antonio where i'm stuck now. every spring and fall like clockwork it rains like a bitch and they all freak because of the flash flooding like it's something new. yet the city has no real gutter system, houses don't really have gutters.........the pagen fools. i hate them all. except chrisfield03, he's making me a baseball bat mod. shit on texas.

i went to take pictures at the Bushkill creek today around 2pm, but when I got down there the creek looked a bit high, but nothing worth posting. I was expecting some huge river flow, but it all receded.

My dad knows a person that paid $900 for flood insurance before September's big flood. He looked at his bill for the insurance and it is now a whopping $29,000! ed: oOo:

Saturday and Sunday we got 50.4cm (that's 19.84") of rain. That's unreal.

Didn't get flooded out, though. My crib is SOLID!
