Default Question about Lean Controls - 08-18-2002, 11:35 AM

I was wondering if anybody could help me to get my side buttons on my mouse to lean. I am talking about the buttons that you use to go foward and back on the internet. For some reason, it won't let me change it in the controls, so if anybody could help me, I would appriecate it.

Open your mohaa\main\configs folder and open the file unnamedsoldier.cfg in wordpad (looks messy in notepad)

You'll see a bunch of lines that start with BIND... substitute the bound controls anyway you wish. Don't foget to SAVE the file..lol... j/k and MAKE SURE you don't have a \mohaa\main\custom.cfg file that RESETS these settings. (the reason being custom.cfg is read AFTER unnamedsoldier.cfg and lines could potetially conflict)

mohaa won't let you bind these buttons directly, but if you have the latest intelli mouse software installed you can bind these buttons to a keystroke , which in turn you can bind these keystrokes to lean in the game gui.(i,m assuming you have a microsoft mouse )

Are you saying that he can't lean using mouse buttons? Maybe not on your mouse but on my old 2 button/wheel mouse I just tried it and it works just fine.

It works for me too. Assuming you have the M$ Intellimouse Explorer, download and install the intellipoint software. When you go into the software under the "Buttons" Tab you will see five pulldown menus.

Go to the Large and Small thumb button ones and find the "Keystroke" selection. Select this and assign them to whatever key you use to lean.

Ok, I think I understand so far, but what would I call the side buttons on the mouse? Mouse4 and Mouse5? Also, I hae the Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical. But I'm not sure where I could get the software from? Thanks for the tips so far.

Leaning should't even be on the game! It aint on MP so why is it in MP?! It only hinders your performance anyway, best just practicing to dodge.

I agree with Cantona7. It would be one thing if you could lean in SP but you can't. why add it to the MP? Its un-necessary and quite silly looking. and ManUre is trash Cantona.
