Clarett's first combine 40 time was 4.78, which pretty much garnished laughs from all the scouts (to put it in perspective, I ran a faster 40 time when I played football in high school). They told him to work on it, and come back to the 2nd combine. His 2nd combine score was 4.65, which is pretty decent provided he really does have the run power that is advertised. Considering many defensive ends and linebackers can run in the low 4.6 to mid 4.5 range (and Jevon Kearse runs a 4.43). He'll have to prove that he's grown up from his college years (wait, his college YEAR) and show that his character has improved, which I don't think it has. Clarett better hope he doesn't have to play against the likes of Brian Urlacher, Ray Lewis, Takeo Spikes, Derrick Brooks, or any other hard-hitting LB, because they will fold this guy in half.
