Over at PlanetBattlefield they are trying to figure out how to prevent the game from continually checking SHADER SUPPORT -

So far I've been able to get to the menu screen. . .load the map - as soon as I click join - bam - CTD.

On the EAUK forums - folks asked point blank what the 1.4 shader technology was used for. . .some guy came in - flamed in one response. . .instead of deleting his message they locked the thread - damn shame. . .

Developers have GOT to be in bed with the card companies.
