Ill try to help on this one sin. Go to start, settings, control panel, add hardware, itll search for any hardware on your computer and itll ask if its connected say yes. Itll give you a list of the hardware on your computer. Select the video card and it should automatically find what type of video card you have and either if its AGP or PCI. IM not 100 percent on this sin but thats all i can think of off hand. Sounds to me like its reading the old card you had which i assume was a PCI. Its not finding the AGP?

I might be wrong on this but here it is....

AGP cards will go in either slot AGP or PCI

If the AGP card is in a PCI slot - you will get
the results you have now

AGP is faster for vid vards, but if you dont
have an AGP slot... well you know

Here is what it says.

Graphics Processor: Geforce3Ti 200
Bus Type: AGP (PCI mode)
BIOS Version: 3.20.00.26
On-Board Memory: 128MB
IRQ: 11

Any suggestions?

Hey Sin,

Try this, Restart your computer and go into your Bios-Set-Up, (del key)

Goto Intergrated Peripherals and scroll down to VGA Boot From, Default is PCI, but you can change it to AGP, that might be your problem.

I don't know if that helps you or not.

An AGP card will fit into a PCI slot with a lump hammer only LOL....

Thats fine what your seeing its using RAM alloted to a PCI card.

Its for DirectX and other programs to "use in PCI mode"

Dont worry about it your not losing any performance and changing it will cause some programs not to run.

Go to http://www.madonion.com and run 3d benchmark big dload if you have 56k buy a magazine with it on the front cover.

Also go to START/RUN and type Dxdiag and run directx and test your card it will explain it a bit more.

LOL@AGP in PCI slot tho hehehhe
