It's not about deserving. It's about putting an end to the bullshit so everyone can move on and no more lives are wasted.

Did you even read the article you posted? It doesn't mention the US making deals with Terrorist groups at all. They're just having talks with disgruntled Sunnis and other Islamic groups with links to the insurgency.

[quote:70ad4]He insisted the talks did not involve negotiations with Iraq's most-wanted terrorist, Jordanian-born Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, but were rather facilitating efforts by the Shiite-led government to reach out to minority Sunni Arabs, who are believed to be the driving force behind the insurgency[/quote:70ad4]

think the US is killing most of the civilians in iraq ?? i think these numbers give a pretty clear look that the insurgents are killing more innocent people than the US or other military forces in iraq ... please comment and try not to flame , this is a civil conversation ...

yes i read it and these 2 groups are part of insurgent orgy that is going on in iraq

The Sunday Times report, which quoted unidentified Iraqis whose groups were purportedly involved in the meetings, said the insurgents at the first meeting included the Ansar al-Sunnah Army, which claimed responsibility for suicide bombings in Iraq and a Christmas attack that killed 22 people in the dining hall of a U.S. base at Mosul.

Two others were Mohammed's Army and the Islamic Army in Iraq, which in August reportedly killed the Italian journalist Enzo Baldoni, the newspaper said.

Again, it doesn't mention the United States making deals with any terrorist groups like you claimed. Just negotiations which is perfectly normal and not infringing on any policy, if one even exists, that the United States can't make "deals" with Terrorists.

When you think about it, is there any other option?

[quote:23dc7]"There's no one negotiating with Zarqawi or the people that are out chopping people's heads off," he said.

He also played down the significance of the report.

"I would not make a big deal out of it. Meetings go on frequently with people," Rumsfeld told "Fox News Sunday."[/quote:23dc7][/quote:23dc7]

Pretty sure no one's anti-american around here. I think you're confused with anti-war and/or anti-bush.

I don't think anyone is that irrational. I've been suprised before though.
