There is no deadline because the US will never completly withdraw from Iraq.

Example: Germany.

US is withdrawing from germany over the next 2 or 3 years. If he set an exact date, the terrorist could just wait him out. I dont say the war was needed, but I do think considering our situation-we are handling it the best way we can.

They have a timetable - they just arent going to release it to the public. That would be a SEVERE tactical error:

Bush: "We will leave Iraq on June 30th, 2006"
Islamic Fundie: "Oh shit son. . .stop fighting until July 1st, 2006!"

I dont know why people bang their heads on tables over this - unable to appreciate the validity of the remark. Willful ignorance perhaps?

It would be a bad idea to announce a withdrawl date. As much as I think the war should come to an end, if you just tell everyone when you are going to withdrawl, then all the enemy has to do is wait for us to leave.

Of course the Germans are pissed about the US leaving. Think of all the money the US spends around those bases. Think about the added expences taking over their national defense will cost.

You always have some pathetic excuse for this administration's constant failures.

Terrorist 1# : Hey lets stop striking fear into the people and stop our attacks so the US can boast about how it tamed the country !

Terrorsit 2# Hell ya, lets tear down all our current infastructure (for our terrorist network) and rebuild it in 3 years to continue our reign of terror.

Terrorist #1 Ya, the people will be evne more supportive of us after 2 + years of stop from bloodshed.. HOW could we NOT do this.

Terrorist #2 We always have these kick ass ideas.

Terrorist #1 You da Man

Terrorist #2 No way YOUU DA MAN

Terrorist #1 Lets go pray and pack our bags and comeback 2 years later.

Terrorist #2 Sounds good, I have been wanting to go back home and abuse my hot wife's human rights, she has probably been hiking up her dam sleeves and showing wrist while I was gone

Terrorist #1 well teach that bitch a proper lesson. C YA !

Terrorist #2 L8r.
