Like shit when the games came out a decade ago we didn't not play them because of the graphics...the fact it looked like that didn't mean the game didn't kick fucking ass...and trust me back then fun in games were a lot more apparent than they are now. Gameplay and Story as for the funf actor should be taken into consideration for the quality of the game way more than graphics.
