"I'm a dog chasing cars. I wouldn't know what to do if I caught one. I just *do* things. I'm a wrench in the gears. I *hate* plans." - The Joker http://pressthenyckbutton.blogspot.com/
The first record I ever had was a 45 that my older sister gave me for my birthday - can't remember which one. It a Monkees record. It had "DayDream Believer" on the A Side and "Goin Down" on the B Side.
I'm not sure which LP I actually bought for myself first. I used to just listen to my sister's albums...until she started buying Lettermen albums and crap like that. Early ones that I bought included:
Mountain - Flowers of Evil
Led Zeppelin - Untitled (the album that had Stairway to Heaven on it)
Uriah Heep - Live
The Stones - Goats Head Soup
Bachman Turner Overdrive II
Anyway i remember having Boyz 2 Men, Hootie and the blowfish
yep, I think those were my first casettes. As for my first CD...I think it was Seal (the black dude with the scar on his face that sang the Batman song).

First Cassette - Smashing Pumpkins (Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness), and got Green Day Dookie/Insomniac right after
First CD - I can't remember
First song on Napster - Eminem - The Real Slim Shady
Tape: I got like 4 or 5 cassettes from an uncle of mine when I was like 7, one was a mix with PM Dawn, De La Soul, Ice T, Beastie Boys and some others....Then there was The Low End Theory (A Tribe Called Quest), and a couple of other mixes with random late eighties acts, and of course a Michael Jackson tape. That's what got me into hiphop.
CD: Pearl Jam - Vitology ....I still really enjoy the album.
MP3: I'm not sure, I used to listen to a guy that used to stay with us' collection that he downloaded on our old computer - Rage Against the Machine, Cake, Stone Temple Pilots, etc.....My personal first download was A Tribe Called Quest - Award Tour....
