Default Gas Prices Thread. - 07-16-2005, 12:42 PM

Now that we are all getting to experience high gas prices I figure it is time for another gas price thread.

This crap is getting old. I use to could put 5$ bucks in my tanks and be good for a while. Now I am paying 2.23$ a gallon on average. What are gas prices in you area? Do you think they will ever go down again? GAs prices were as low as 0.75$ a gallon just 7 years ago. I know we will never see that again, I just hope below 2 dollars again.

It's not getting old.

You may as well prepare fore high gas prices for the rest of eternity.

Do some research on something called "Peak Oil", cause that's where were at.

There is still lots of oil left, but demand is outstripping production. And with China and India demanding more and more oil, its not going to get any better. Right now, the world is at peak oil production. This means the prices go up as demand increases.

The SUV driving suburb soccer mom way of life is over IMO. Unless the states wants to invade a few more countries and maybe gain access to the Caspain sea. That might give you guys a few more years of precious oil.

Lowest: $2.35
Highest: $2.65

The absolute highest it has been was about $2.79 a few months ago, I think.

After a quick calculation here, I think (not 100% sure) the most common price here in Sweden is around $4,30 per gallon. In other words, Im the one whos supposed to be weeping, not you.
