Default My new map is ready for DL. Obj AND TDM - 08-22-2002, 02:33 AM

Download it here:

Screenshots here: http://www.alliedassault.com/community/ ... rtyard_1(4).shtml

Rudedog, the maps are named as follows:

obj/objxfire (OBJ Sabotage)
dm/dmxfire (TDM)

obj/objxfire2v2 (OBJ 2v2)
dm/dmxfire2v2 (TDM 2v2)

Just to set the scene, here's the introduction from the readme:

Good evening, gentlemen.

We've got a long night ahead so listen up. Covert Opperations has reported that a recently occupied Algerian mansion based in a secluded location nearby Algiers is to be used by the Germans as a strategical communications out-post.

Despite our recent efforts, this would effectively cut off our ability to infiltrate further into the African Theatre. This would be disasterous for our intelligence and espionage sections in the area as the Axis would have complete control of the field from here to Algiers.

Our opperative was able to recover detailed reconnaisance information regarding this mansion and its location. It's only just been occupied by the Germans and, fortunately, they have not yet been able to set up any formidable defences in the area.

Time is of the essence, here, gentlemen. We've managed to cut off the supply train to the mansion but we can only hold the line for so long and the Axis managed to slip one shipment through our net. This shipment contained the final components for their sophisticated communications equipment.

In place, already, is the power-supply needed to opperate the system and the base-station is in place, ready to use. All they need are those final components to set up the network and by the time that has happened they will be able to call in substantial reinforcements.

Needless to say, if this is allowed to happen our presence in this particular area will be compromised. Given the importance of this opperation you'll appreciate that every attention to detail will be required to get the job done, but I know this covert division is up to the task.

Your job is to infiltrate the compound and eliminate any part of the chain of communications. That is, you need to sabotage either the power supply, which can be found in the generator room, the base-station itself, or the stash of new components stored in the loading bay.

Removing any part of this chain will effectively end the German intelligence in this area, so this mission is vital.

Fortunately, due to the fact that the compound has only just been acquired by the Germans, you will not be facing excessive numbers. However, they will be ready for this strike as they will be aware that the supply train was recently disrupted. So, be alert, stay sharp and work as a team. If you keep the Germans guessing you can do this.

We have two transports ready to take you in. You have thirty minutes to gather your things and saddle up. Good luck, gentlemen.

Please remember to read the readme first! Hope you enjoy it.

\Great map Ydiss, i recommend it to everybody...especially the obj is really something different then we are used...Playing as Axis is harder then allies cuz u gotta defend three obj and the allies only have to blow one out of 3...really challenging for both sides...so everybody download this map and run it on ur servers... cool:

Well, it is 4 maps in one pack Divide 8mb by 4 and you got an average of 2mbs per map, which is about right

MAy I suggest Ydiss that you change the OBJ to the allies must destroy all three stations, or at least 2 out of 3. one is too easy with like 2 - 4 man teams.

Depends on the Axis team

You can change the objective count as a server admin. Just open up the pk3 of the map, go into maps/obj and open xxx.scr in notepad.

Change the line that states level.targets_to_destroy 1 (or something like that). You can set it to 2 (recomended) or 3.

Personally, I think 3 is too much and you're entering the realsm of making the job too easy on a solid and organised defence.

2 should be ok, though.
