I'm working on a map where the allies have to assault a farmhouse that has an underground bunker network, i was wondering what you thought about that idea, too stupid?

Could be, The Siegfriedlinie had bunkers that were disguised as farm.

So you don't even have to much work on the farm.
Place concrete dragonteeth it outside in a few straight rows and then the setting is pretty realistic to me

make it a realistic like a basement storage area or something that braches off. i think a barn with just a ladder going into the ground is gonna look pretty dodgy. wine cellars?

The map has (so far) a medium sized farm house with an MG-42 in the attic, a path leading to a toilet building wich has a trapdoor behind it, which leads to the two storey bunker network, not much of a network at the moment but still, it consists of to long corridors, one lower than the other with several rooms and one airvent, making the route to the RTCW beachhead inspired war room easier for the allies. I want an omaha style feel as the allies make there way up to the farmhouse, the MG-42 pouring fire down on them, and then "The Bridge" style fighting in the tunnels. This is my first proper map, so it wont look be that great, but hopfully it will be fun biggrin:

Sounds good to me. I don't know how to build a map but, I wonder, is it possible to give the MG-42 some protection? In Omaha, etc. the guy on the MG gets nailed after two seconds. It seems to me that it would be more realistic if fire from that gun could be sustained longer. If the guy manning the gun wasn't so exposed he could really blaze away. This would make the attacking force have to lay down covering fire, throw nades for smoke cover, etc.

The main MG-42 is in the attic and it is open to attack, but i'll propably add some more at a later stage, good point though
