Day of Defeat type maps

The thing that turned me off of MOH was the maps. There weren't too many and the ones that were out weren't so hot and were still in beta stages and weren't moving. I think if someone were to design maps after the dod maps: dod_anzio or dod_caen2, it would make MOH an even more awesome game.

Question: Why hasn't anyone made any after DoD maps?

forgive my armpits, but what is a DoD style map?

are we talking construction/design here or how the actual gameplay/objectives operate?

Actually i was working on an Anzio map, got it to about %70 complete, but then i kinda scrapped it cause i didnt think anyone was interested in DOD type maps. It did have a ctf type system like in DOD
