Lean controls in Single mode -
08-25-2002, 05:25 PM
I use an Intellipoint mouse with the 2 side buttons programmed as left & right lean control.
For some reason I don't know, they not working in single mode. Was wondering if single mode use same MOHAA.exe program to launch than multiplayer, so its seem using the same, so why those buttons aint work at all in single?
My mouse is properly configured whith MOHAA.exe as lean controls work well in multiplayer session. Any 1 have a clue ?
Thanks.

Lean is disabled in singleplayer. You cant do it no matter how well your buttons are configtured. You maybe able to ask a modder if its possible to mod it into single player.
M@D you may have to go into the console and do that bind. You can sind tutorials on how to do it on this site or in a search of the forums. That or there might just be a problem with mohaa and cordless mice.

Didn't knew that, so thanks for the info Misguy, I'll stop trying to get it work...lol.
M@d the Intellimouse comes with the ability to enable a program-specific button settings. It programs those side buttons the equal action as any keystroke you want.
For ex, my lean buttons on the keyboard are keys Z & C. Then I browse to the MOHAA.exe and I tell those buttons to take the same action. It is simple as that and it work well.
Hope it'll help ya.

bind a "+moveleft;+leanleft"
bind d "+moveright;+leanright"
I believe thats the way to type it in. As you see this is the keys i use to lean and starfe at the same time.

But leaning only works in MP (which sucks after playing MP all the time, play SP and can't lean round corner - darn)

I know sucks doesnt it. I havent played SP since jan.Leaning pisses some people off because they get owned by someone who leans at a 45 degree angle.

It used to bother me, but not anymore. I used to get really annoyed, but now that I'm a better player I can usually pick them off - doesn't seem to be that many leaners this side of the water.
I bound my keys for a while, but changed back after a week, I just prefer running straight and use lean when necessary.
It sucks when you get to SP and know that there's something nasty round the corner and the only way to get it is to go round there presenting a full target (and you're supposed to be special forces (or whatever Powell is in the game)).

There's certian things that you can only do in MP, this is one of them. Another is drop your weapon. You can by just scrolling your options towards the bottom. When you see the commands starting with DM, those mean they can only be used in multiplay.
