Let's get something straight if you join a game and can not handle the weapons that the other guy is using, then I'm sorry. Your a noob.

Every weapon in this game has it's pros and cons. Do I use the STG44/ BAR yes. I even use the Bazooka when someone has a good spot and cant be moved.

Would I use the sniper rifle in Stalingrad, Hell no. That's a close quarters map and I will pick my weapon accordingly. I will pick either the MP40 or Thompson. Do I get mad when someone snipes my ass in that map Yes, at my self for letting him do that.

This debate goes on over and over. To call someone a noob because of the weapon they use is dumb, must be easier then saying "I suck"

It take a better player to overcome any player with any weapon. I guess that day the noob was a better player, minus the smart ass remark after he killed you.

And another thing

There is no such thing as camping, in MOH.

This was a term used in quake. And it was used for people waiting for a special power-up! They waited at the power-ups spawn point. Not sitting in a corner shooting people. - wish I could give credit to the person who posted that like 7 months ago.

I do however respect any server admin who wishes not to have a specific weapon on there server. They pay the bills and sometimes special weapons cause more trouble then they are worth or the admin just does not like them.
I say more power to them, they set the rules and everyone has to abide by them

I am definately a Noob. Only been playing about 2 weeks now. I try not to do the typical Noob thingys. I hate the Rocket. I have been told by the more experienced players not to run around wild cause that means sure death. I try to be more cautious. I will try to find a good ambush point. When I get a few kills, I am called a Camper. I always get shot even in the best spots. I think ambush is part of the game. I hope over time I earn the Honorable players respect. I am working hard to do just that. Thank you Rudedog for your help.

I agree with rudedog. If you are crying about someone elses choice of weapon - YOU are the NOOB!!!! I will use almost any weapon in the list and I am not a noob. If you cry about the weapon I have, I will seek you out with it.

Also - If the guys that use the offending weapon are noobs, why are you letting them kill you? Are you a noob 2?

One thing I do disagree with rudedog about is campers. Yes there are campers in MOH, but its just a tactic. They might not be the same as campers in Q3, but there are campers.

If you are not man enought of face all the weapons, get your own server and ban all but the smg, rifle and sniper rifle (I am willing to bet that most of these crybabys are snipers). Then you can play with everyone else that is scared. Otherwise - STFU.

i'm always a mazed about how many people there are complaining about snipers that camp, i must not be good enough to use a springfield like a BAR.

I love these posts! In stock I use shotgun and smgs...I take up positions that allow me to maximize my weapon. Call me a n00b. Im gonna kill u whenever you role through my areas. Doesnt matter to me what anyone uses. They die just the same. STG in realism...hell yeah...BAR and M1 for allies...you betcha...Dont wanna get cut down by the "full auto n00bs"...I cant and wont use a rocket, unless we r goofin off. Cant use it. Dont like it, but I like it when others use it. Easy kill. As with most seasoned MOH players, weapon choice is dependent on map. I love the shotgun! youve got 5 shells...make em count. STG....spray and pray....smg....bursts hurt worse......am i a n00b......does it matter? Its about MY experience with the game...how do I get enjoyment from the game? Thats what my focus is.... mwah: biggrin:

It always amazes me how many people just plain complain. I had a guy complain whenI was owning him with the shottie in DV so I swtiched to the mauser and owned him with that. Then he called me a cheater. That guy was going to cry no matter what. Those are the most satisfying kills. The ones where you know the guy is cussing at his monitor and throwing things across the room.

Where did I defend newbs? I never once made any pro-newb/n00b comments, I was saying exactly what the majority of people have posted that the game is full of whiners who complain about everything.

Get over it and play the game (and try reading the posts properly).

And camping - as Rude said - "camping" is not a legitimate term in MOHAA, strategic positioning is more appropriate. Who is the wiser? The one who waits for his enemy to approach, or the one who runs blindly round the map? As I've said, this isn't Quake or UT, where standing still means death - this is more strategic and, dare I say it, intelligent warfare.

If noobs are so terrible, why complain when they kill you, obviously they are playing better if they kill you enough to get you mad.....

i agree noobs can be a pain, but so can experienced players .
i wouldnt say im shithot at aa coz i dont get the time, but wot bugs me more than anything is experienced players especially clans who know spots where a bunch of granades over a wall will almost guarantee kills i.e the road on the hunt. this is just cheezy as fuck, at least with a noob and his shotgun u get a chance.
