Default Important! Map fix for Crossfire Courtyard - Sabotage! - 08-25-2002, 11:07 PM

Ok, foolishly I failed to actually test the scripting for my map before I released it and I missed a tiny error in them.

As such respawning is enabled in my objective maps!

I've created this fix for server admins. You don't need it unless you plan to run a server with my map.

Download it here:

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/ydiss.silv ... rd-FIX.zip

This stops respawning and also increases the Allied targets in objxfire to 2 (instead of one). That is, Allies have to now bomb two targets.

Rudedog, can you please upload this to the server? Thanks.

Groovy

Gonna grab it and up load it to our servers. Thanks for the map and the map fix too.

1 question. Is it an adon file or a replacement file?

Doggie

It's an addon. Simply unzip the file into your mohaa/main folder and it will sit nicely in alphabetical order after my maps. The file only contains the two scripts needing replacing (obxfire.scr and objxfire2v2.scr). As it is behind the original files in alphabetical order it gets executed last.

I added the extra bomb requirement to even it out. I've heard the Allies have an easy job of it. 2/3 should be about right and still make it hard for the Axis and Allies.

The bomb to destroy total for the 2v2 obj map remains the same (1/2)

Yay! It's about time you listen to me, Ydiss! lol The 1 bomb thing was like a gauntlet for Axis.

The main problem was the respawn. I can imagine it would be possible to defend 3 bombs with a well organized team but with constant spawning it would be very hard. I added the extra bomb as I still think this is hard for the Axis and yet it should still be possible for the Allies to exploit the extra bomb.

Also, if I didn't listen to feedback the map wouldn't be where it is now

That without the fix, snowhawk, or with it? If without, have you tried it with no spawns and two targets yet?
