(A rumor of choking to death on food establishes the "glutton killed by his gluttony" image, and claiming the food was a ham sandwich drives home the point by introducing a reference to pigs.)

Other rumors surrounding Elliot's death (that she overdosed on heroin or was pregnant with John Lennon's child) were just as ridiculous and unfounded.

Sightings: Look for a mention of this legend in the 1997 film Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and in the 1996 film Beautiful Thing.
