Cod for PC "cheat free"? -
07-20-2005, 05:46 AM
I am MOH player, but most annoying is the fact that playing online is no fun because of cheating.
And EA (maker of MOH) does not update the game anymore with patches to prevent cheating.
So in fact MOH is dead.
How's cheating in CoD?
Is it a common everyday problem?
Are known issues (cheat threats) solved by maker (Activision)?
Or can you only play cheat free on "payed" servers?
So, is CoD an alternative (for MOH) for someone who wants to play cheap & cheat free?

Punkbuster takes care of the cheaters. I haven't witnessed any blatant cheating for a LONG time.

I've seen really blatant cheating before in Call of Duty, like aim bots. Other than that, nothing. Not to say though that there arn't people who cheat very well and make it hard to detect but thats like 2% of the entire games population.

Actually, PunkBuster is already exploited in Call of Duty. There are lots of cheaters out there now. Which of course means there is cheating in competition.

After not having played for 6 months or so I played for a couple of nights again.
Yesterday, really nice playing in MOH. It was hard to keep the score right but I managed.
There were a couple of players who were really hard to kill, especially one. After about 1 hour playing he openly started cheating (sharking). Then he probably was cheating before too, and will be tomorrow.
No Fun !

MOHAA anti-cheat sucked. Wall-hacks burned me the most... there'd always be some cunt with a shotgun sticking his shotgun out the door, and blowing anyone away as soon as they opened it. And AIM-bots were the most common...couldnt get rid of those guys. Whats the fun in having the computer shoot for you?

this is actually a clipping issue, that EA never bothered to fix... not a cheat per se, as anyone can do it. but signs of a poorly designed game non the less.

Yeah, cheating ruined many a game......most evident in Counter-Strike. Fuckin' loved that game before the cheating got way out of hand. I remember getting smoked on MOH once and going to "spectate" mode to see what was going on. Some dude under the map was killing everyone. That was a lil' too much. Some people exploit a maps fault to their advantage.
Cheaters suck in general. You're better off hanging out in server that looks out for that shit. I was invited to join a clan but couldn't dedicate my time to them but they allowed me to play on their servers. That worked out well.
The world is my urinal
