Plays fine on Swap Magic.
The game is pretty good, having to bring down those huge fuckers is pretty fun. You basically have to use your sword to find each one, the sunlight casts a beam on their location. Then you have to find their weakness, and bring them down. Basically the fight involves you climbing the colossi like a mountain and bringing them down via sword and arrows. The second coossi is pretty cool because he walks on all fours and has an external spine, which you have to navigate like a maze while he tries to shake you off.
When I first played it, I was like "wtf", I can't even hurt this guy. Then I found where I had to grab on to him and climb up to his head, where I planted my sword into his brain.

Game is cool. Not having a playing manual adds to the "how do I do this" factor. The first colossus was a fun "learning" kill - where you figure out the things you can do. Thought that I had to be grabbing on to something the entire time, but you can actually move around the Colossus - its when he starts shaking (i assume its a he) you need to grab on. The 2nd Colossus (when you figure out what the hell you need to do) is where you start saying to yourself - this game kicks ass.
Its cool how the opening scene ties into ICO.

BTW, the fourth colossus is a bitch, I'm still confused as to why there are tunnels beneath him. I may need to look up the FAQ to see where I get started. I assumed you would have to make him dig into each of the openings until it collapsed into the ground, then you could climb on his back... but no luck.

Much of beating these fuckers involves "dumb luck" as far as I'm concerned. . .as the entire time I fought the 4th Colossi the "hint" did not show up, and I just HAPPENED to run under the tunnels and come out the other side and see his tail allowed me to climb up.
Same thing with the 3rd Colossi:
"Hey look at this weird lil stone platform - I wonder if it does any. . OH FUCK HE'S ABOUT TO HIT ME WITH HIS HAMMER!"
I beat the 6th when I realized it was time to go to sleep. Total playtime - 3 fucking hours, which was actually more since I paused numerous times to figure out what the hell I was supposed to do. annoy:
Granted - I spent an hour looking for the 5th.
After I beat it the first time, Im gonna replay it again (not on hard) and record it. The battles are just so awesome, although I'm hoping the fights become more than figure out how to get on, and proceed to stab-location. I've heard the 15th and 16th Colossi are "ZERO's MISSIONS" type difficulty.
And the horse pisses me the fuck off. Big time. I spend most of my time kicking it even when running full speed.

Never played it...but it is getting hailed as a contender for game of the year along with RE4.
And it is made by the Ico team, which was a fucking awesome game.

What little I played of RE4 - was not TOO impressed. It was interesting. . .I'll have to give it another go after I finish SHADOW.
Last boss - someone said took them 2-hours to fight from start to finish

I haven't been able to play RE4 yet anyways...I like the silent hill games more than RE.
