Yes the server crashed earlier last night. There is a bug in the Linux release that if you do the right things you will crash the server. FastAttack is going to set me up so I can remote reboot the server.
Its up now.
And Lab Rat use connect and RIGHT click to add server. Then simply add fastattack.org to connect to the main lobby and password poaac to connect to the aa.com room.
I did that Jasper and This is what I typed in and I got
Well, maybe it wasn't team speak. When I was playing MOHAA without it on, it froze up. I restarted it and it said the problem was the video card. (which I have oc'd) I just un-overclocked it, so now I'll give TS another run.
Jasper
Running Win XP pro , TS kept hanging like a frozen rope , while in game and running Qtracker in background. Had to reboot twice Installed ASE instead and reininstalled TS . See what happens ed:
Great interface.....wonderful features.....love everything about it except two things:
1) The sound quality....even on the highest setting is still not as good as old reliable Battlecom....kinda sad isn't it?
2) The sound breaks up when I play MoH
I use
- Win2K
- SB Audigy (latest drivers helped)
- P4 2.25
- GF4 - Ti4600
- 512meg of DDR RAM
Check my first post for fixing the choppy sounds in MOH. TS has issues with the Q3 engine but they're working on it.
As far as voice quality goes I allways considered BattleCom to be superior but were going to stick with TS2.0 for now. Your mic plays a HUGE part in voice quality too. My $30 labtech headset sounds like shit but my 4 yr old $10 mic is quite passable.
Allso, the loopback test needs more than a one second delay to judge voice quality. Hopefully this will be addressed in later updates.
I set the different audio codes (determines bandwidth and voice quality) for each room. Chat rooms have the highest codec and game server rooms have the lowest or mid quality.
