Default help with spreadsheets - 11-20-2005, 12:15 AM

i use openoffice, which is the firefox of office

anyways, i use the spreadsheet program they have to calculate and keep track up tips me and my brother receive at work, so that after a month i can make a accurate deposit of said tips without having to count it all up again, which can be a helluva alot of ones

the way i have it now i have to manually change the dates, which is agrivating when you have to do it like 4 times, is there a way i can stream line this so i can make it quick and simple so it will put the dates in for me for the next month and so on

here is a picture of what i have, and why it's such a chore to change

i dont know how you would do it in this program, but in MS Excel its quite easy. however most programs like that are quite similar so create the first date, say 11/20 (excel converts it automatically to 20-Nov) and then select the cell. if you can grab the corner of the cell and drag it down, that might automatically create cronological dates fo you. if not see if your spread sheet program can read xls files (excel) and or save a file as an xls. if it can, PM me so i can get u my e-mail then you can send me the layout of it and ill send back the template
